And, you need to know that you probably will have to pay a higher interest rate for the loan, and you will have a lower loan to value. Which means you will be able to finance a smaller part of the total appraised value of the home.
That being said, if you have a good, and long term relationship with your bank, you may be able to qualify for a bad credit refinance loan. You may also have to find or talk to a few mortgage loan brokers to find the right lender for your situation.
With the currrent mortgage crisis, you should expect that it may be harder, but don’t give up. And,while you are looking, you should start to work on cleaning up your credit. Getting back on track with your credit score will only help you with your mortgage loan needs. A bad credit refinance may be yours for the taking.
